Add another participant in New Jersey’s murderous fast-food war: Popular Southern chain Raising Cane’s is intent on entering the fray.

According to NJ.com, the chain now plans three locations: in Marlton, Burlington and Cherry Hill.

Founder Todd Graves said his college professor gave him a low grade on his business plan, saying no one would want to eat at a chicken finger restaurant; the banks felt the same way. They were both wrong: Raising Cane’s now has more than 600 locations worldwide.

The spokesperson for A Raising Cane told the mail post

We are so excited to bring our One Love – irresistible chicken finger meals – to the South Jersey area. We’ve already seen so much excitement for Cane’s in South Jersey, and we can’t wait to officially become part of the community!

Raising Cane’s has two locations in Philadelphia and another is planned for Bucks County.

The chain sells chicken fingers, but they’ll put three on a bun if you want a sandwich. They also have crinkle cut fries, coleslaw, Texas Toast and Cane sauce.

The three South Jersey restaurants are scheduled to open in 2023.
