A company that claims ‘the biggest Piri Piri franchise brand’ in the UK is opening its new restaurant in Exeter.
The ‘Opening Soon’ signs have been installed at Pepe’s Piri Piri in Sidwell Street, Exeter.
Advertised as “the home of fresh flame-grilled chicken,” Pepe’s menu includes grilled chicken breasts in wraps, pitas, paninis and tortillas.

Last year a new Slim Chickens restaurant opened close to the old Giraffe in Princesshay, next to Nando’s. The city also has four branches of KFC for ‘finger-licking chicken’, a branch of Absurd Bird in the Guildhall and Eat the Bird in Sidwell Street.
At Pepe’s, chicken lovers can also get ‘Chick ‘n Rice’, Chicken Salad or Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla. The spicy chicken is served with a tangy sriracha sauce or in a burrito.
Pepe’s ‘famous’ original is just plain grilled chicken with piri piri sauce – and there are also gourmet single and double beef burgers, veggie burgers and paneer wraps for anyone in the mood for a bite to eat. a meal without chicken.
Pepe’s also offers sides, extras and eight different desserts.
