Burger King wants customers to have what they want and this will soon include a new plant-based menu option.
While the fast food chain is famous for its flame-grilled Whopper, Burger King has a new innovation that taps into the growing plant-based trend with Impossible Nuggets.
Burger King announced Wednesday that it will be testing Impossible Foods’ plant-based nuggets in Des Moines, Boston and Miami starting October 11, available in an order of eight pieces with a choice of dipping sauce.
“This isn’t the first time we’ve teamed up with Impossible to make waves in the industry. In 2019, we became the first quick-service restaurant to serve the award-winning plant-based Impossible galette and the iconic Impossible. Whopper, “said Ellie Doty, director of marketing for Burger King North America, in a statement.” So it is only fitting that we are the first QSR in the world to test the Impossible Nuggets. We are delighted to hear this that our guests in the test markets think about this latest innovation. ”
The Impossible Nuggets will deliver a similar savory taste with a crispy golden brown breading and a tender, juicy bite inside, Burger King said.
Additionally, Burger King announced it was adding spicier menu innovations; Rolling out new Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets nationwide for a limited time.
The white meat chicken spiced up by the heat of fiery ghost pepper is first available to Royal Perks members before entering menus on October 11.
