According to Thrillist, Illinois has found its fastest growing fast food chain.

As an adult, I tend to eat at more local restaurants. If I really I had to choose a fast food chain to eat in, I have to say Culver’s. Their ButterBurgers are to die for. If you haven’t tried Culver’s, take it on your lunch break AND for dinner. You will not regret it!

If you were to ask every person living in Illinois what their favorite fast food chain is, I bet they would say McDonald’s, Chick-Fil-A or Wendy’s. They are known as in every town and can be found on every corner haha.

After going through this list of all states in America, it definitely surprises me. It’s obviously nothing like what I mentioned above, but it’s pretty delicious.

“Checkers nearly doubled in size with 90% growth from 10 to 19 locations. In fact, the brand actually has 27 restaurants operating in Illinois, including 20 located in the greater Chicago area alone. – 1851franchise

I had Checkers for the first time a few weeks ago and I was not disappointed! There are no Checkers in my town of Rockford, but less than an hour away there is one in Elgin, Illinois! This is where I first tasted their Deep-Fried Seasoned Chicken Tenders, Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Big Cup of Minute Maid Lemonade. YUM!

Although I may not be the healthiest person on earth, I try to eat at “healthier” fast food places to cheat myself and feel better about what I’m consuming.

After writing this, I think a cheat day is well deserved…

So where do you like to go for fast food? Think about it, you are in a hurry and need to eat quickly in your belly. Where do you stop?
