Dave’s Hot Chicken, LA’s late-night pop-up pop-up turned hot chicken mega-hit, brings its offerings and sliders to Dearborn, when the chain opens its first restaurant in Michigan this week.

In addition to hot chicken fillets and sliders, Dave’s serves up sides of house kale salad, creamy mac and cheese, and seasoned crispy fries. The spiciness of the chicken is adjusted to the customer’s taste, starting with “no spices” and going through the ominous sounding “reaper” (which requires a signed waiver for those who dare). Operators have been quiet about the origin of their birds, but say they are halal certified and come from the company’s long-time supplier that dates back to the creation of their parking lot.
