LULEÅ, SWEDEN – Family business Max Burgers has announced the launch of its brand new Grand Chicken menu. The three new sandwiches on the menu include flavors never before seen in the burger chain.

The Grand Chicken Sandwich is served with mayonnaise, pickles and sweet onions and the Grand BBQ Chicken comes with barbecue sauce, coleslaw, pickles and sweet onions. The menu is completed by the Grand Buffalo Chicken, served with buffalo sauce, mayonnaise, pickles, lettuce and sweet onion. All sandwiches are served on a sesame seed bun. Grand Buffalo Chicken and Grand BBQ Chicken can also be ordered vegetarian lacto-ovo with Max’s Crispy No Chicken patty.

“We’ve seen a huge upturn in the burger community where chicken sandwiches have become extremely popular,” said Jonas Mårtensson, head chef at Max Burgers. “We knew we wanted to follow the trend and we quickly realized that we had to pull out all the stops and really go upmarket in terms of quality and flavours. The last time we launched anything remotely close to this was in 2016 when we introduced the green family [a line of lacto-ovo vegetarian burgers].”

The Grand Chicken menu is the result of hundreds of chicken sandwich taste and quality comparisons. Jonas Mårtensson, his team and Max’s owning family found inspiration in the successful chicken sandwich trend that made its way to Sweden from the United States.

“There are so many great chicken sandwiches out there, but we almost always found room for minor improvements,” Mårtensson added. “Because we couldn’t agree on a specific flavor, we decided to go bold and make three different burgers. I think it’s one of the best things we’ve ever introduced to Max. , and I hope everyone who visits us will feel the same way.

The new menu is available at Swedish and Danish Max restaurants from April 7.

Max Burgers has also updated its animal welfare policy and thus accepted all the requirements set by the ECC.
