Fried chicken lovers will be in for a treat as Dubai-owned Chicking is set to open a new restaurant in West Bromwich, bringing with it new job opportunities.

The international branch of the fast food chain will be located at West Gate Plaza on Moor Street, a short walk from the leisure center.

This will be the third Chicking franchise to open in the Midlands after securing the site through estate agents Bond Wolfe.

The Fried Chicken chain has taken on a 10-year lease on Unit 2, a 1,160-square-foot ground-floor property previously used as a take-out fast food restaurant.

James Brady, commercial real estate agent at Bond Wolfe, said: “The demand for secondary retail units has always been high after the foreclosure and Moor Street as a location ticks many boxes for retailers, close to numerous chimney pots as well as other supporting retailers.

BrumWish 2021 aims to deliver thousands of Christmas gifts to young children in need across our city – the homeless, the vulnerable, children in care and children with little.

This year’s appeal is bigger and better than ever – as we’ve partnered with our # Toys4Birmingham partners including Thrive Together Birmingham, Birmingham Playcare Network, Edgbaston Foundation and Birmingham Forward Steps.

Starting with a single unit in the United Arab Emirates in 2000, the chain has grown rapidly and has opened more than 70 branches around the world.

The fully halal menu consists of fried chicken crumbs according to a secret recipe that includes a unique blend of the best herbs and spices.

You can get your hands on a range of wallet-friendly items like burgers for under £ 1.50 or a 20-coin bucket of chicken wings for under £ 8.

Elsewhere in the Black Country, you can find a Chicking on at 48a Union Street in Wednesbury.

The Moor Street unit is on the outskirts of West Bromwich town center, next to a mix of residential apartments and commercial properties occupied by Lloyds Pharmacy, a McColl’s convenience store and a Chinese take-out restaurant.
