ROCHESTER, Minn. – Chicken lovers in the Mediterranean city will only have to wait a month to try Rochester’s new hot chicken.

Nashville Coop is set to open March 20.

It is located at 20th St. and Broadway Ave. SE Rochester – you can expect hot chicken, grape slushies and a drive-thru option.

Co-owner Nick McLaughlin gives us a taste of what makes their chicken so unique.

“We use Ethiopian spices and we use a specific, secret pepper for Jamaica in our sauce. This is something that has never been done before in a chicken restaurant so we are really looking forward to it.

You will be able to come in, order quickly with a simplified menu and even place orders online.

Co-owner Nick McLaughlin said he was looking to bring Rochester an alternative fast food restaurant open late.

“In a post-COVID world, when restaurants were closing, we were opening restaurants and we still are, we hope to give people alternative options to what they’re used to with sit-down restaurants, obviously we’re providing that here,” McLaughlin says. .

McLaughlin is keeping busy with the opening of a sports bar and restaurant called “Chip Shots” at the Haley Center in North Rochester.

The opening of Nashville Coop will be followed by a ribbon cutting with the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday, March 21.
