Bonchon brings even more crunch to California
The famous US-based brand opens its first delivery and delivery-only concept
First 50 guests eat free, plus lion dancers
With its wide array of flavors and crunch-worthy Korean fried chicken, Bonchonâmeaning âmy hometownââis a one-of-a-kind dining experience in Eastern Contra Costa County.
The hugely popular restaurant, known for its crispy, hand-brushed Korean fried chicken, is opening its 27th California location in Brentwood, located at 5611 Lonely Trees Road (near FedEx Office and Home Depot) with hours of operation 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will be run by local entrepreneur Thomas Nyugen.
This Brentwood site is also the very first for Bonchon dedicated to delivery and collection operations. With the new model, it will enable seamless interaction with customers and make the ordering process easier for people who want to get their favorite Bonchon meal via delivery or on-site pickup.

To give residents the opportunity to try Bonchon’s delicious crunchy chicken wings, a grand opening celebration will be held on Thursday August 11th. The first 50 guests will receive five of the brand’s fried chicken wings, hand-brushed with their choice of garlic soy sauce or spicy signature sauce, for free. To add to the excitement of the grand opening, the Brentwood venue will also host lion dancers at 6:00 p.m. on August 11 for the enjoyment of all guests.
Their menu also has entrees which include pot stickers, shrimp shumai, takoyaki (ball shaped squid), mini chicken burgers, pork buns, Korean tacos, popcorn shrimp and edamame; Main dishes including bulgogi (thinly sliced ââmarinated rib steak sautÃ©ed with mushrooms, scallions, sesame seeds and onions), japchae (stir-fried marinated rib steak), chicken katsu over rice, tteokbokki (cakes rice with fish cakes), bull dak (spicy chicken and rice cakes), wraps, bibimbap and fried rice dishes, as well as udon noodle soups and sesame-ginger salads.
