The Pollo Project is really spreading its wings: the famous plant-based chicken chain has announced its 15th location in Texas, coming soon to 9390 Huebner St. in San Antonio.
Opened in August, the Medical District spot will be the sixth San Antonio location for the growing chain, which celebrates its second anniversary this fall.
A ribbon cutting on August 18 will commemorate the grand opening with the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, while a grand opening will take place on August 20. The first 50 lucky guests will win gift cards granting the Pollo Project free for an entire year.
Can’t wait that long? A soft opening will begin at the new location on August 9, showcasing the full new menu, including the famous plant-based crispy chicken sandwiches, puffed chicken, loaded fries, oatmeal mac and cheese, creamy milkshakes and much more. After.
Named one of the top 15 vegan fast food chains in the United States by VegNews, Project Pollo is the brainchild of Lucas Bradbury, who appeared on shark tank earlier this year.
The company has ruffled the feathers of the industry with its unprecedented growth since its launch, and is no doubt part of the reason why San Antonio recently made a list of the top 20 vegan cities in the United States.
With a combination of affordability, convenience, and plant-based sustainability, the company markets itself as a “chuckle” company, with a motto of people rather than profits (although with 12 locations already, they seem to be doing well on the latter too).
