A NEW Wendy’s restaurant in the city center will open next week, it has been announced.
The fast-food chain will open its first branch in Brighton on Western Road on March 1, offering iconic US menu items, as well as a range of exclusive options only available in the UK, including the Veggie Stack and the whole Chicken Nuggets fillet.
Paul Hilder, Managing Director of Wendy’s UK, said: “Brighton is a vibrant and inclusive community and we are delighted to be welcomed with open arms to Brighton’s thriving food scene.
“As we look to expand our brand presence across England, the opening of our restaurant in Brighton brings us one step closer to the opportunity to bring more Wendy’s to more customers across the country.
“We also know that convenience is key, and this restaurant offers access to Wendy’s high-quality food, made-to-order, dine-in, take-out and delivery.”
The restaurant, known for its square burgers, will be the sixth to open in the UK, with outlets in Reading, Oxford, Stratford, Croydon and Romford opening last year.
Steven Derwoed, Vice President of Global Design and Construction at Wendy’s, said, “The Wendy’s restaurant experience is about creating a cool, energetic place that our customers and our team love to be a part of.
“Our restaurant in Brighton features custom W tables and we incorporated oversized pendant lights to accentuate the openness and airiness of the space.
“We have created specially designed raised seats in the windows of both floors which allow diners to look out over Western Road as they eat, and throughout the restaurant there are several large works of art that speak to this which is important to us as a brand.”
Customers will also be able to order food from the outlet directly to their doorstep with UberEats.
Founded in 1969, Wendy’s is also known for other branded items including Chili Con Carne, Baked Potatoes and Frosty Dessert. The company and its franchisees employ hundreds of thousands of people, with approximately 7,000 restaurants worldwide.
