The highly anticipated Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant in North Fresno has set a new opening date.
Originally it had planned to open last week.
That didn’t happen, but the company has confirmed it will open next week, Tuesday, March 8.
The restaurant sits on the southwest corner of Blackstone and El Paso Avenues, on the site of the old Logan’s Roadhouse, which was demolished.
The restaurant opens at 9 a.m.
A ribbon-cutting celebration is in the works, though the company has yet to share a time. We will update this story as information becomes available.
If it’s anything like Clovis opening in October, there will be a lot of hype. At this event, people lined up at midnight the night before, in part for free food giveaways.
The restaurant specializes in one type of food: chicken fingers. You can get meals that come with two, three, four or six chicken fingers. All are served with fries, Texas toast and coleslaw.
If Fresno’s locations resemble Clovis’s, its drive-thru will be crowded. The restaurant uses employees to take curbside orders and deliver food so not all cars have to use the takeout window.
Another Raising Cane’s is set to open in southeast Fresno, in the Kings Canyon Pavilion mall at East Kings Canyon Road and South Willow Avenue.
Other locations are open in Tulare, Hanford and Visalia.
